ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The Stearns County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing next month on the idea of allowing the use of electrical bicycles on county trails.
The Legislature recently made changes to state law that exempt electric-assisted bicycles with motors of less than 1,000 watts from motorized vehicle trail restrictions.
The Stearns County Parks Department is considering changes to its own trail ordinances to comply with state laws.
The board will conduct the public hearing at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday February 11th in the Administration Center County Board Room in St. Cloud.
