ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) No injuries Monday when a vehicle slammed into a State Patrol squad car parked alongside Interstate 94 near St. Cloud.
Eighteen year-old Aaron Carlson of Maple Lake was eastbound when he slid into the back end of the squad car---which was unoccupied. Lieutenant Tom Nelson had stepped out of the car to check on another vehicle that had slid off the interstate.
Carlson was not injured--but his vehicle was totaled. The squad car had moderate damage.
Carlson was charged with failure to use due care. He was traveling about 45 miles an hour when the collision occurred Monday morning.
