ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) America's largest one-day food drive is set for Saturday.
The "Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive" is now in its 21st year.
Minnesota Postal Service spokesman Pete Nowacki says people can set non-perishable food items by their mailbox, and they'll be picked up by their mail carrier when they come by.
The food drive has collected more than one-billion pounds of food since its inception.
Nowacki says the extra food donations are really needed this time of year, as children from struggling families will soon be on vacation and won't have access to free or reduced-price meals in school.
