St. Paul police kill man

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) St. Paul police have shot and killed a man who was driving a car after he took ``evasive actions'' at the officers.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Payne-Phahlen neighborhood of St. Paul's East Side.

Minneapolis and St. Paul police already were investigating the driver when two St. Paul officers approached him.

St. Paul Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Paulos says the driver took ``evasive actions'' that convinced the officers that deadly force was necessary.

The man died at the scene.
