St. Paul police: 11-year-old boy stabs father

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police say an 11-year-old boy stabbed his father who repeatedly abused him.

According to an incident report, the father had one stab wound to the chest and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life threatening Wednesday morning.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the boy had bruises and scratches to his face and head. The report said he told police his father had beaten him and repeatedly abused him.

The report says he was taken to a children's hospital and "placed'' but it was unclear where he was placed.

Police spokesman Howie Padilla says no other children appeared to be present and there were no recent calls for service to the residence.
