WAITE PARK, MN (KNSI) - St. Joseph Township residents will meet with Waite Park officials Tuesday to talk about an annexation plan.
The city is considering annexing a part of the township starting next January 1st. Those living in the affected area have received a letter from the city of Waite Park with information about Tuesday's meeting at 5:30 at city hall.
A strip of land between the Sauk River and Stearns County Road 137 is being considered for annexation.
The city of Waite Park does not intend to extend city water and sewer services to that area, and tax rates for residents are expected to remain the same
