(KNSI)--St. Cloud has recorded its second wettest month of May on record.
State Climatologist Pete Boulay tells KNSI News the city has received 8.76 inches of rain this month, trailing only May of 1912, when 9.68 inches of rain fell. St. Cloud's rain total this month is 5.81 inches above normal.
Boulay says all of Minnesota except the extreme northwest corner has been running above normal for precipitation this month.
The Twin Cities suburb of Chanhassen has picked up 11.19 inches of rain in May, and the rain gauge at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has recorded 9.34 inches of rain.
