ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - The city of St. Cloud could make some changes to its urban archery deer hunting program, which was started in 2006.

That first year, 38 permits were issued, and 24 deer were taken. Last year, the city issued 70 permits, and 11 deer were taken. City administrator Mike Williams says the city is considering changes that would allow hunting in different areas of St. Cloud than in the past.

The city council would have to approve any changes. The city started the archery deer hunt after getting complaints about deer eating residential landscaping.
