ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) – St. Cloud Public Works has set aside two dates next month for Christmas tree pick-up and recycling.
Designated days in which City Works will pick up old Christmas trees and send them for recycling will be Monday, January 9 and Monday, January 23.
In order to have your tree picked up, you must follow the city-mandated guidelines:
Attach a clear city yard waste bag (green bag is also acceptable) to the tree (bag can be tied around a branch or the lower trunk) and make it visible to collection crews.
Remove all decorations or other attachments. Trees containing metal of cement stands will not be picked up.
Place the tree in the normal refuse collection area by 6 a.m. the day of pick-up.
Wreaths are not accepted for recycling, as they contain wire.
Should you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 320-650-2900.
