ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - The St. Cloud School Board has learned the cost of remodeling North and South junior high schools is three-point-four million dollars. Broken down individually, the cost of remodeling North is one-point-six million, and South one-point-eight million.
At a work session Wednesday, several board members expressed support for remodeling the two schools, and building an addition onto Madison Elementary, which is dealing with overcrowding. Later this month, the board will vote on the remodeling plan, and the addition to Madison--which would cost two-point-two million dollars.
If approved, the Madison addition would be finished by the fall of 2013. The remodeling at North and South junior highs would take place during the summer of 2013.
