ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - The list of candidates still in the running to become St. Cloud's next police chief has been narrowed to three.
A search committee conducted interviews with five candidates Wednesday. Those making the cut as finalists are Interim St. Cloud Police Chief Richard Wilson, Moorhead Police Chief David Ebinger and Carver County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy William Blair Anderson.
St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will now interview the three finalists, and announce his selection sometime in July. Wilson has been interim chief since January, following the retirement of Dennis Ballantine.
Others who interviewed Wednesday were Duluth Police Commander Leigh Wright, and Chicago Police Lieutenant Maurice Richards.
