St. Cloud Olympian Embarks on London Journey

ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A send-off party last night for a St. Cloud woman headed to London to compete in the Olympic games.

Pineview Park was the site of the event for Alise Post, who'll compete in BMX competition beginning Wednesday. Alise will have plenty of support in London. Her parents, grandparents and siblings will be there.

Her mom Cheryl Post calls it a once-in-a-lifetime event. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis is also making the trip after promising Alise he would follow her to the games if she qualified.

The medal round competition for BMX racers will be one week from Friday.
