ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - St. Cloud unemployment edged up slightly in November, but still remained below the state's seasonally adjusted figure, according to state figures released Tuesday.
St. Cloud metropolitan area unemployment was 5.2 percent for November, up from 5.1 percent in October.
For the second straight month, St. Cloud was Minnesota's only metropolitan area to post an umemployment increase, while Mankato, Rochester and Minneapolis-St. Paul all posted 0.3 percent declines from October to November. Duluth held steady at 6.1 percent.
Minnesota's seasonally-adjusted umemployment rate was at 5.9 percent for November, still well ahead of the national seasonally-adjusted rate of 8.6 percent.
