ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A St. Cloud man faces domestic assault charges after he allegedly attacked a woman at a St. Cloud home early Thursday, according to St. Cloud police.
Officers arrived at the home on the 10 block of 17th Avenue South in St. Cloud around 12:30 a.m. Thursday after the 50-year-old victim called 911, St. Cloud police Sgt. Jeff Janssen said.
Thomas John Theisen, 58, is accused of hitting the victim several times and trying to stop her from placing the call to police.
Investigators arrested Theisen, who remained at the scene of the alleged attack as police arrived.
Theisen was booked into the Stearns County Jail on charges of felony domestic assault and interfering with a 911 call. Theisen has prior domestic assault convictions, Janssen said.
The victim suffered only minor injuries and didn't require medical attention.
