St. Cloud man charged with rape

(KNSI)--Bail has been set at $500,000 for a St. Cloud man charged with rape.

Twenty three year-old Jerry Marcus Gary is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly holding a knife to a woman's throat, choking her and raping her at his apartment at 3700 West St. Germain St.

Police executed a search warrant at Gary's apartment and found a butcher knife like the one the woman said Gary used during the assault.

Gary initially denied having any intimate contact with the woman, but later admitted he placed a knife near her throat.

Gary's bail is $500,000 without conditions, and $250,000 with several conditions, including that he not have any contact with the alleged victim.
