ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A German-based farm equipment manufacturer is coming to St. Cloud--and creating 100 new jobs in the process.

Officials with Geringhoff were joined by local and state officials--including Governor Mark Dayton today--to announce plans for a new manufacturing plant in St. Cloud.

Geringhoff has purchased the former Donlin Company building in the Airport Industrial Park. That's where they'll begin manufacturing several new prototype corn headers in early 2013.

Geringhoff North America President Joseph Jandrisch says one of the reasons St. Cloud was chosen from among more than 40 sties visited is its people. He says the quality of the local workforce and enthusiasm and support of local and regional government agencies were primary factors in choosing St. Cloud.

The state of Minnesota offered Geringhoff tax incentives and a 500-thousand dollar forgivable loan to seal the deal.
