ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - The National Weather Service says 1-point-23 inches of rain fell at the St. Cloud Airport Sunday following a steamy high temperature of 87, extending the already above-average rainfall totals this month.
8.51 inches of rain have now fallen in the city during May. The normal amount is only 2-and-a-half inches.
All the rain and soaked ground prompted the Weather Service to issue a Flash Flood Watch for central and southern Minnesota until 7 a.m. Monday morning. St. Cloud is in the watch area, along with the Twin Cities, Willmar, Mankato and Redwood Falls.
Rain may continue throughout Memorial Day Monday in St. Cloud.
