ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) – Friday could see the highest temperatures of the year to date in St. Cloud and the rest of Central Minnesota.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a high near 90 degrees. That's way above the average of 70.
The record high for today in St Cloud is 94 degrees, set in 1998. Yesterday's high in St. Cloud topped out at a warm 86 degrees.
It looks like the heat will be followed by a pretty good chance of rain. Showers and thunderstorms are likely by Saturday night, with a continuing chance of rain on Sunday.
