ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A St. Cloud area State Patrol trooper was unhurt after his car was totalled while he stopped to help a stranded motorist in Ramsey County Wednesday morning, the State Patrol said.
The trooper was taking his patrol car into the metro area for maintenance when he stopped to help a stopped motorist along Interstate 694 at Victoria Street near Shoreview around 9:15 a.m., a Patrol spokeswoman said.
While the trooper was stopped, another vehicle slammed into that patrol car.
