ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — St. Paul police say a woman who was struck by a hit-and-run driver has died.
Police say 53-year-old Therese Klotz of St. Paul was struck Friday about 6:40 p.m. She had just dropped off a passenger and gotten out of her car to talk with the woman as the woman walked toward a house.
The woman heard a thud and saw an SUV driving down the street. The woman realized that Klotz had been struck. Klotz was taken to a hospital, where she died.
Investigators found parts of the suspect SUV's passenger mirror in the street. They believe it may have come from a silver Lexus SUV.
Police ask that anyone with information call them.
