ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) -- St. Cloud Subaru is partnering with the Waite Park - Parks and Recreation Department to reduce waste in area parks with the installation of commercial recycling bins.

Scott Bement, owner of St. Cloud Subaru grew up in a household where recycling was important and wanted to get his community involved. Bement was inspired after being at his son's baseball games and watching others at the park throw recyclables in the trash.

The recycling containers can be found in parks in Waite Park, St. Cloud and surrounding areas.

Bement told KNSI that since this effort has been put in place, the amount of recyclables found in garbage has greatly decreased.
