ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The St. Cloud Fire Department is asking residents to avoid recreational burning from Monday night  through Wednesday morning.

Fire Marshal Mike Post says they're not issuing a burning ban, but with temperatures in the 80's and 90's tomorrow, along with low humidity levels and strong winds, a fire could easily get out of control.

Post says areas of concern are those properties next to swamps, fields and wooded areas where a fire could easily spread. 

The St. Cloud area and all of central Minnesota are in a Fire Weather Watch Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.
