St. Cloud man arrested for assault

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A domestic assault call led to an arrest by St. Cloud police.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North where their investigation revealed an argument between 25 year-old Jaret Hobson of St. Cloud and a 22 year-old St. Cloud woman.

The victim told police Hobson hit her in the mouth and ear area, and then whe she attempted to call 911, he took the phone away from her and strangled her.

Hobson is being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of misdemeanor domestic assault, felony domestic assault by strangulation, interfering with a 911 call and possession of marijuana.
