ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The St. Cloud Police Department is looking for a few good men--or women--to join their police reserve program.

Police reserves assist licensed police officers in carrying out the duties of the department.

Each member is expected to attend one monthly training meeting and volunteer a minimum of eight hours of ride time per month.

Reserves receiving training on self-defense, firearms, handcuffing, tasers, and traffic control.

Applicants have to be 18 or older, be a U.S. citizen or have a work visa and a valid driver's license.

Applicantions are available at the police department or online at www.scpdreserves dot com.  

The application deadline is May 15th.
