St. Cloud jobless rate drops

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area was at an even five-percent in October--a decline of one-tenth of a percentage point from September.
Those numbers were released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The number of unemployed people stood at just over 5,400--which was the lowest number since October 2008.
Among counties, Stearns County's jobless rate was 4.9 percent in October. Benton County was at 5.1 percent, and Sherburne County had an unemployment rate of 5.4 percent.
