ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says April's unemployment rate for the St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area was five-point-eight percent--the fourth straight month the jobless rate has declined.

But the number is still higher than a year ago, when the April 2012 unemployment rate in the St. Cloud area was five-point-two percent.

The Twin Cities, Rochester and Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Areas all had unemployment numbers that were lower than St. Cloud's last month. The Twin Cities were at four-point-nine percent, Rochester at four-point-six percent and Mankato at four-point-three percent. Duluth was at six-point-six percent.
