ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A bomb squad from Crow Wing County was called in to detonate an explosive device found in St. Cloud Saturday.

Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to the 10-block of 29th Avenue North at 11:45 Saturday morning on a report of a suspicious item located in that area that was consistent with an incendiary device.

Traffic in the area was blocked off, and people in the neighborhood were evacuated.

Burke says the device was blown up by the bomb squad just before 5:00 pm. There were no injuries, and the area was once again deemed safe.

Police are not releasing any other details about the makeup of the explosive, but are asking for help from the public as they continue their investigation.
