ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - It's been almost a year since twice-weekly flights began between St. Cloud and Mesa, Arizona. Now, the St. Cloud Regional Airport is planning to launch flights to a second US destination.
The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation says they'll be announcing exactly where those flights will be landing during a news conference at 8:30 a.m. next Tuesday morning at the airport.
GSDC Air Service Corps chairman Al Kremers says the group is "pleased with the overwhelming success we are experiencing with our current air service" and that success is "having a demonstrated impact on our negotiations for additional business and leisure routes."
No word on which airline has been chosen for the flights.
In the past, airport officials have said they're hoping to launch daily trips to and from O'Hare Airport in Chicago.
