DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Just when you thought we might have turned the corner on winter-like weather comes word of 9 to 14 inches of snow expected in east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.

Forecasters expect the heaviest snow to fall between Duluth and Hinckley, Minn., and in the northwestern Wisconsin counties closest to Lake Superior. The National Weather Service posted a winter storm watch for late Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

The St. Cloud area is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 4 am Thursday. Snowfall amounts in the 5 to 9 inch range are possible.
