FOLEY, MN (KNSI) - The Foley City Council will hold a special meeting Monday to talk about their soon-to-be-filled police chief's position.
The council made a conditional job offer to Brant Standridge last month, contingent on physical and psychological exams along with a background check. They also had to negotiate the terms of his salary and benefits.
At its meeting this week, the city council voted to have all of its members review the completed background check prior to Monday's special meeting. Foley disbanded its police department in 2003, but voted in February to re-create it. Two police officers for the department have already been hired, and were sworn in last month.
