DASSEL, Minn. (AP) The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says a Silver Lake man was killed Saturday night after crashing into a train in Dassel.

Two snowmobiles were eastbound along railroad tracks at the same time as an eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe train.

The lead snowmobiler--31 year-old Paul Fenske--lost control of his sled and slid into the side of the train in the 600-block of Parker Avenue East.

Fenske was pulled underneath the train and died at the scene.

The second snowmobiler was not injured.
