ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Snowfall records are being shattered as St. Cloud and central Minnesota wait for some indication that winter will finally come to an end.

Nine-point-four inches of snow fell in St. Cloud Thursday--a record for the 18th of April.

The monthly snow total is now 21.4 inches. That shatters the previous mark for April--which was 15.8  inches set in 1928.

St. Cloud has received 38 inches of snow since March 1st, and 75-and-a-half inches for the season--making this one of the snowiest winters in St. Cloud's recorded history.

High temperatures in the St. Cloud area are expected to be in the upper 20's Friday. The normal high is 59 degrees.
