ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) It's already beginning to look a lot like Christmas in far northwestern Minnesota.
Snow fell in that part of the state all day Thursday--and in some places it really piled up. The town of Badger in Roseau County had 14 inches of snow. Middle River had eight inches, and Thief River Falls seven inches.
The nasty weather caused one fatal crash in that area. Sixty three year-old Madonna Lallier of Plummer, Minnesota was killed when she lost control of her vehicle on icy Highway 59 in Pennington County and hit another vehicle head-on.
St. Cloud missed out on the snow--but not the wind. The airport recorded a peak wind gust of 45 miles an hour yesterday.
Temp: 46°F (8°C)
Wind: 14 W
