ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A teenager charged in a St. Cloud murder case will face the charges in adult court.
Seventeen year-old Jesse Smithers of Sauk Rapids has been certified as an adult.
He's charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault in the death of Colton Gleason.
A court complaint says on September 20th, Smithers got out of a vehicle passing through an alley in St. Cloud and punched Gleason as he was walking two women home.
Gleason struck his head when he fell, and died the following day at St. Cloud Hospital.
Smithers has denied any involvement in Gleason's death. His unconditional bail was set at $1 million dollars, or $500,000 dollars with conditions.
