MINNEAPOLIS (KNSI) -The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Southeastern Stearns County, Northeastern Meeker County and Northwestern Wright County just before 7:15 a.m. Thursday morning lasting until 8:00 a.m.
A line of severe storms on radar prompted the warning just after 7:00 a.m. The storms may be capable of producing quarter sized hail and damaging winds perhaps reaching 60 mph. Forecasters estimate the storms were moving east at a rate of 30 mph.
Areas that were in the path off possible storms included St. Nicholas, Watkins, Cold Spring, Eden Valley, South Haven, Annandale.
Rain is still possible throughout the entire area on Thursday.
