ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Monday's hot, humid weather spawned some severe storms last night.

The National Weather Service says thunderstorm wind gusts of 55 miles an hour were reported at the Alexandria airport just before 11 pm.

The Glenwood airport checked in with a 49 mile an hour wind gust in thunderstorms at 11:15 last night.

Power outages and roof damage were reported in the Staples area just before 11:30, and one inch hail fell six miles south of Long Prairie in Todd County a little before midnight.
