ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A woman found murdered in a St. Cloud home last month had 47 sharp-force injuries to her body.
That information is among the details found in several search warrants connected to the killing of 68 year-old Geraldine Bennett on August 23rd. Bennett was found covered in blood, sitting in a chair in a screened-in porch at a home on Atwood Drive, with her son standing behind her.
Fourty year-old Chad Pulju was also covered in blood, and a blood-covered folding knife was found near him. Pulju has been charged with one count of second-degree murder, and is being held in the Stearns County Jail on three-million dollars bail. He told police he had been drinking with his mom, and had no recollection of what happened.
He asked for a lawyer when officers began to question him. Pulju made a brief court appearance Wednesday, and is scheduled to be back in court on September 20th.
