ROYALTON, Minn. (KNSI) - Volunteers will band together to continue the search for a missing Eden Prairie woman this weekend.
24 year-old Mandy Matula has been missing since May 1st, when she was last seen with ex-boyfriend David Roe.
Roe committed suicide in the parking lot of the Eden Prairie Police Station before he could be questioned.
Friend and search party organizer Josh Truax tells KNSI the search for Matula here was prompted by a 'ping' from Roe's cell phone, which suggested he may have been in the St. Cloud area following Matula's disappearance.
The latest effort in locating Matula will take place on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Immaculate Conception Church in Rice.
From there, Truax says the 100 or so anticipated searchers will span the 2 miles north and south of the Blanchard Dam, with a handful of people scanning the river and the rest in the woods.
Truax says they're unclear what Matula was dressed in when she disappeared, but they assume she wearing a UMD Bulldogs sweatshirt - her alma mater.
