ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A suspicious student prompted a lockdown at SCSU's ECC building Monday morning after police were called to the scene regarding a possible weapon in the student's pocket as he entered the building according to St. Cloud police.

A passerby spotted the man entering the building located at 910 3rd Ave South around 7:43 a.m. Monday, St. Cloud police Sgt. Lori Ellering said.

 The police then acted along with the SCSU Public Safety and placed the building under lockdown in order to locate the individual in question.The suspect was located and was inspected only to find out that the "weapon" was in fact a tool used for a school project. The police then gave the all clear and relased the lockdown order. The student was returned to his class and no charges will be filed.
