ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud State University students will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most people howling on April 26.
"The Husky Howl" will take place on the Atwood Mall, the open area south of the Atwood Memorial Center at St. Cloud State. It will be the first Guinness World Record attempt at the university and the first attempt anywhere to set a record for the most people howling.
The record-setting attempt is being organized by the Department of Campus Involvement to help foster Husky spirit among students on campus.
If successful, howling participantswill belong to an elite group. According to Guinness World Records, 60,000 applications for records are received each year, but only a few are approved.
St. Cloud State needs at least 250 people howling to be considered for the world record.
