HUDSON, Wis. (KNSI) - The man who brutally murdered his three young daughters was sentenced to three life sentences to be served consecutively. Thirty-five year old Aaron Schaffhausen sat motionless as many different family members spoke to the court, recounting memories and pleading with the judge one way or another.

Sue Allen, Schaffausen's mother, spoke to the court and pleaded that he get help, saying that he wasn't himself that night last July.

Judge Howard Cameron of the St. Croix County Court weighed all factors and decided that Schaffausen needed to be behind bars for life, citing the protection of the remaining family members who felt unsafe if he would be paroled at a later date.
