LONG PRAIRIE, Minn. (KNSI) The Todd County Sheriff's Office is alerting people of another scam in the area.

People with a southern accent who claim to be from Georgia are calling senior citizens telling them they are entitled to receive a health insurance card in the mail.

For accepting the health card, they're being told money will be forwarded into their banking account, and that's when the caller starts asking for personal account information.

The sheriff's office says it's all a scam. They say you should not submit any personal information over the telephone, including any banking account numbers or routing information.
