SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (KNSI) - A home in Sauk Rapids was destroyed by fire Sunday night, according to area firefighters.
The call to 4729 65th Street Northeast came in around 11:00 p.m., Sauk Rapids Fire Chief Tony Hommerding said.
There were four occupants in the home at the time of the fire, Hommerding said. They tried using a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. When that failed, the 911 call was made.
Hommerding said the fire started in the basement of the home, but an exact cause is unknown.
The State Fire Marshal's Office was investigating. There were no injuries.
