ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Bail has been set at 200-thousand dollars for a St. Cloud man charged with being a felon illegally in possession of a firearm.

Twenty three year-old Jamar Overton is a suspect in an incident in which several gunshots were fired in downtown St. Cloud early Saturday morning. Overton has not been charged with being the person who fired the shots, although eyewitnesses have identified him as being the shooter.

Overton is accused by witnesses of pointing a gun at a man he was arguing with, and firing at least one shot into the air.

Overton cannot legally possess a firearm because of prior convictions for simple robbery in Benton County and aggravated first-degree robbery in Stearns County.
