SARTELL, MN (KNSI) - For the second time in three years, a teen from Sartell will represent Minnesota at the National Geographic Bee in Washington D.C. this week.

Gopi Ramanathan, an eighth grader at Sartell Middle School, will face off this week against 53 of the nation's brightest young geography brainiacs, starting on Wednesday. Winners will take home scholarships up to $25,000.

This should be no pressure for Gopi who has been through this kind of challenge before when he represented the state at the same Bee as a sixth-grader back in 2010.

If Gopi makes it to the finals, that round will air live on the National Geographic channel Thursday night from 8-10 p.m. hosted by Jeopardy quizmaster Alex Trebek.
