ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) – A Sartell teenager only suffered minor injuries after her car ended up in the Mississippi River early Saturday morning.

St. Cloud Police officers were dispatched to the 25000 block of Franklin Rd. just before 3am Saturday morning in reference to a female who had been in the Mississippi River.

Officers discovered that Maryann Stang, 19 of Sartell, was in a vehicle that had ended up submerged in the River near Franklin Road. According to reports, Police don't know if Stang was actually the driver of the car when it went into the river and that the incident is still under investigation.

Stang was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries and hypothermia.
