SARTELL, Minn. (KNSI) Sartell's annual Summerfest celebration begins Friday.

One of the event organizers--Scott Widor--says something new this year is Liberyville, stemming from a partnership with Liberty Savings Bank in Sartell. It runs from 4 to 9 pm in the parking lot in front of Bernick's Arena. There will be inflatable kids games, face painting, airbrush tattoos, and music and food. The Sartell Community Band will play beginning at 5:30 pm.  Attendees should bring a blanket or lawn chair.

The Mayor's 5K Run and Kid's 1K Fun Run will be held Friday. The 5K Run begins from Sartell City Hall at 5:30 pm. The 1K Fun Run begins at approximately 7:00 pm.

On Saturday, the St. Cloud Federal Credit Union Grand Day Parade makes it way down Riverside Avenue beginning at 10:00 am. Up to eight marching bands are expected to compete.

There's also a fre street dance and fireworks show at Great River Bowl starting at 8:00 pm. Deuces Wild will take the stage at 8:00 pm, followed by the fireworks at 10:00 pm.
