Sartell man crashes into utility pole

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. (KNSI) A Sartell man was injured when he crashed his vehicle Sunday afternoon in St. Joseph Township.
Twenty seven year-old Jared Slagter was westbound on Mullen Road near 73rd Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The pole was sheared off at the base and power lines were down across the road.
Slagter was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
Stearns Electric and Great River Energy out of Elk River were dispatched to the scene to make repairs to the power system.
The accident was reported at 12:30 Sunday afternoon.
