SARTELL, Minn. (KNSI) The Sartell Police Department is hosting its 6th annual Cookout with Cops today. Chief Jim Hughes says it's a chance for members of Sartell's senior community to meet with officers and discuss public safety concerns.

Police officers will cook up  hot dogs and hamburgers. There's also live music and a seminar on identity theft.

Hughes says they've averaged about 200 participants at past events.

The event is free to Sartell residents 55 and older, and will be held today from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Francis Xavier Church.
