SARTELL, MN (KNSI) - Sartell police are calling it a crime of opportunity. They say at least four unlocked vehicles were entered and had items stolen late Sunday night into Monday morning.
The thefts happened in the 500 and 800-blocks of First Street North, and Brookwood Lane.
A handgun was stolen from one of the vehicles. Other items taken included cash, a DVD player, a GPS unit, tools and sunglasses.
Sartell Police Sergeant Wayne Schreiner says it's another example of why people need to keep valuables out of sight, and their vehicles locked up.
